COVID-19 POLICY

Limelight Theatrics programs will resume online in 2021 until further notice.
The guidelines set out below are to be followed when we return to in-house classes. We will be following all guidelines advised by NPHET, the HSE and Tusla.

Covid Officer:

Carmel McKiernan of Limelight Theatrics is a fully certified Covid Officer. Please be assured that all necessary hygiene and other guidelines are adhered to in relation to Covid-19.  If any student is displaying symptoms, they will follow our procedure to ensure the safe isolation of the individual until it is possible for them to go home. A mask will be provided on site for any person who is displaying symptoms. Those potentially affected will be advised to phone their GP and follow their GP's medical guidance. Carmel McKiernan will complete an incident report and comply with any HSE contact tracing requests.

Reduced Class Capacity:

The number of children permitted in-house will be reduced to achieve the best social distancing practices

Reduced group sizes:

When we return, students will be in smaller groups, and they will remain with this group for the duration of the term. Groups will not mix with other groups.

Mask Wearing, Hand Hygiene and Sanitisation:

All students attending class must wear a mask. A number of hand sanitising stations will be provided, which students and teacher will have easy access to. Please also bring along your own supply of hygiene products for your own personal use.  Toilets and other hot spots, such as door handles, will be sanitised throughout the day, as well as a full room sanitisation between classes.

Contactless drop off/collection:

When in-house classes return, we will implement a staggered drop off and collection. We aim for this to be carried out in a contactless format. Dropoff times and collections will be sent to parents. This is to protect parents, children, and teacher. You must adhere to your allocated arrival and pick up time.

Parental Access:

Parents/Guardians are not permitted to enter the class venue

Personal Belongings:

Coats and Schoolbags must not be brought into class; if they are, they will be left in the porch area.

Any parent, child or staff member who is displaying symptoms of Covid-19 prior to class or outside of class hours should not attend class.

In conclusion, I am fully aware that this has been a challenging and confusing period for everyone and that getting life back to some form of normality is of huge benefit to us all. Limelight Theatrics believes that  extracurricular classes can play a strong role in returning children to this normality but we may only return if it is safe to do so.  Extra measures for health and safety are now necessary to keep us all safe and well, but we aim to integrate these practices into the fun, engaging and exciting experience that we will continue to deliver at our weekly classes.

I would like to thank you in advance for your co-operation and understanding.
